The short version
Your data stays on your machine. PocketPick has no accounts and no login. Your ranked history, your pool and your settings live on your computer and never reach us. The only things that ever reach our server are two anonymous counters described in section 2: one on the demo page, and one in the app that is off unless you switch it on.
1. What the app processes, and where
- Your Riot ID, rank and champion pool. Read automatically from your own League client while it is open (the official local client API, read-only), or typed in if you prefer. Used to look up your own ranked history and stored only on your device.
- Your ranked history. Per-champion, per-role games and wins, computed from Riot's official Match-V5 data. These aggregates live in the app's local storage and in files next to the app. They never leave your machine.
- Live champion-select state. Read locally from the League client to fill the draft. Processed in memory on your device and not transmitted anywhere.
- Public game data. Champion statistics, win rates and matchup data from public sources, fetched by the app for its calculations. Those sources see an ordinary web request from your computer, as any website you visit would.
2. The two things that reach our server
- Optional "PocketPick was opened" ping (off by default). If you tick the box in Settings, the app sends a small message when it starts: a random install id that the app makes up on your machine, the build number, and the date. That is all. It contains no Riot ID, no name, no history and no IP address is stored with it. We use it to count how many testers keep using the app. Untick the box and it stops.
- Demo page session count. Each time the demo page loads, it sends "a demo session happened", with no identifier at all. The enemy champions you pick in the demo are sent to the engine to compute the numbers and are not stored.
Both counters are stored on our hosting provider's storage as daily totals. The website and the demo are hosted on Netlify, which keeps standard server logs (including IP addresses) for a short period under its own privacy policy; we do not use those logs.
3. What we don't do
- No accounts, no passwords, and never any authentication with your Riot login.
- No third-party analytics, no advertising, no cookies on this website.
- No selling or sharing of your data with anyone. We never see your history in the first place.
4. Beta sign-up
If you leave your email on the beta form (or email us), we use it to send you the build and, at most, a handful of beta updates. It is stored by our hosting provider's form service and in our mailbox, is never shared, and is deleted on request.
5. Where data lives, and deleting it
Everything PocketPick knows about you is in the app's local storage and its folder on your computer. Deleting the folder and clearing the app's stored data removes it completely. The optional ping's random id is on your machine too; turning the ping off ends it, and if you email us the id we will remove its counter on our side.
6. If this changes
A future version may add optional online features (for example cloud sync or a hosted API proxy). If so, this policy will be updated first, the app will say clearly what moves off your device, and anything server-side will be the minimum needed for the feature.
